In cooperation with Starboard, the manufacturer of high-quality watersport equipment, Rip Curl School of Surf and Prama Sanur Beach Hotel hosted the Starboard Distributor Test Trip in Rip Curl School of Surf Sanur from February 18th to 19th, 2023.
Starboard team and distributors from around the globe landed safely in Bali on February 17th after attending the Distributor Meeting at Starboard HQ Thailand the day before. The Starboard team arrived at Ngurah Rai International Airport with some of their products and was safely transported by the Rip Curl School of Surf crew to their accommodation at Prama Sanur Beach Hotel.
On the first day of the event, the Starboard crew sets up their new products for testing on Rip Curl School of Surfs Sanur School, such as Paddles, SUP Boards, Foil Boards, Wings, Wind Surf Equipment, and more. Consistent water and wind conditions in Sanur allowed the Starboard team and distributors to test their new products better.
Other side activities, such as surf lessons and a mangrove trip, are also done on the first day. The Rip Curl School of Surf instructors teaches surf lessons to some of the Starboard team with little to no knowledge about surfing. In the afternoon, the Starboard team and distributors are taken for a trip to the mangroves while testing the capabilities of their Starboard SUP Boards. Before they headed to the mangroves, Jonni Deaker briefed the Starboard team and distributors about Rip Curl School of Surf mangrove and coral protection programs.
On the event’s second day, Rip Curl School of Surf held Foil Clinic for the Starboard team and distributors, allowing beginner team members and distributors to test Starboard’s new Foil Boards. At the end of the second day, the Starboard team and distributors made another mangrove trip to clean out the area of trash.
The Starboard Distributor Test Trip in Rip Curl School of Surf Sanur was hugely successful. It was a fantastic opportunity for the Starboard team and distributors from around the globe to test their latest products in the consistent water and wind conditions in Sanur, Bali. We are proud to share our mangrove and coral protection programs with the Starboard team and distributors.
