First surfing event this year in Taiwan, hold by Chinese Taipei surf association. 2018 Spring Surf Championship where head of Judge are Keenan, experiences judge from ISA. And participants are surfers from all around Taiwan.
The location of the competition itself held at north Taiwan called Waiao. Waiao Beach in Yilan are the black sands beach only about an hour and thirty minutes by car from Taipei. A destination that not many knew about which now incredibly popular with surfers in Northern Taiwan. So it is perfect location to start the first surf competition of the year.
The wave of contest was affected by typhoon , Typhoons swell makes wave bigger so the wave is challenging because of inconsistent , strong current and tide change. But the event run really well from 7am in the morning until 5pm in the afternoon during weekend.

This championship is a gift to reward me that I has been making so much effort to practice and training myself to be able to compete different wave conditions.
